Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial 2006
A shallow wading pool was creater in a room of a former branchi school.A white Tsumari-shaped sculpture was hung from the celling. The pool, giving the
atomosphere of children who use to study here, reflected the celling sculpture onto the water surface. Drop of water occasionally fell from the very point of
Mitsuyamaon the Tsumari shaped sculpture, forming patterns in the water. In this work, the artist expressed his desire that the small drops from the
Mitsuyama community, where just six households remain at present, would make ripples and stir various things and spread over.
